Lighthouse Academy
 

 Our Goal

Our goal at Lighthouse Academy is to be the best Christian Daycare and Preschool in the Las Vegas Valley. We will provide for every infant, toddler, and preschooler a loving, nurturing, academic and spiritual environment to ensure that they will someday achieve the purpose God has for them. This goal is at the root of every policy we make and every program that is offered.

 Our Staff   

All staff members must have received Jesus Christ as his/her personal Savior and believe that the Bible is God’s word and standard for faith and daily living. All staff members are required to attend training classes in CPR and First Aid. Each staff member must also attend 15 hours of training in childcare each year.

   Curriculum  

It is our philosophy and goal to create an atmosphere that encourages social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth. We believe in developing the child as a whole. That is why we have chosen the A Beka curriculum. We use this curriculum exclusively for our phonics and scripture program. This allows our teachers to impart their own creativity, experiences, and themes into the curriculum to ensure a hands-on developmental experience inside the classroom. We feel this program will provide each with an environment that is fun, warm, supportive, and will prepare your child for success in school and beyond. Any curriculum offered by Lighthouse Academy can be reviewed at any time.

 Services

Breakfast, snacks and drinks will be provided by Lighthouse Academy. Parents are to provide a sack/boxed lunch for their child(ren) if attendance occurs during lunch time. A child’s birthday is a very special day at school. Our policy is to celebrate all birthdays for each month on one special day. We will provide a treat and each child will be recognized individually. We also have a pizza day each month. Lighthouse will provide pizza for each child for lunch.

1. A Daycare program for children ages 6 weeks up to 3 years of age. This includes:

     Infant Care
Toddler Care
 Potty Training
Newsletters on events
 Posted daily activities 

2. A preschool and pre-k program for children 3 years of age and up to 5 years of age. This includes:

       The A Beka Program
 Scripture Program
 Newsletters on events
  Academic Evaluations
Posted daily lesson plans

3. A summer program from children ages 3-5. This includes:

                 Weather appropriate planned events
       Age appropriate outdoor and indoor play areas
       Thematic curriculum
  Arts and crafts
 Special guests
   Water, cooking and game days.
