Admission

Age Requirements
Each child will be placed in the classroom most age-appropriate to the child’s date of birth: infant, younger or older toddler rooms, and the preschool program.  For enrollment into the Pre–K program, your child must be 4 years of age on or before September 30 of the current school year to be accepted.


Registration

A non-refundable and non-transferable registration fee of $100.00 per child or $150.00 per family is due at the time of registration. A registration packet will be given to you for your child’s appropriate classroom at this time.  The registration form, financial agreement, history form, policy to release form, emergency contact form and field trip release form must be completed and turned in prior to the child’s first day. An annual registration fee will automatically be charged to your account each year on your child’s anniversary month at our school. If you withdraw your child and return, a registration fee is due upon return. Parents have the right to request and view any complaints the facility has received for the current month your child(ren) has been enrolled and the 12 months prior.


Tuition/Late Charges
Tuition is due one week in advance by 6:30 P.M. on Friday. The tuition may be dropped off in the school office. Be sure your child’s name is on the memo portion of your check. Statements for the previous month will be available by the 15th of the next month. Tuition payments are non-refundable and non-transferable. It is your responsibility to keep your account current. A $25.00 late fee will be charged to your account for any weekly tuition payment received after 6:30 P.M. on Monday. An additional $10.00 late fee will be charged to your account each Friday for any past due balances. If your account is more than one week past due, your child(ren) will not be allowed to attend class until account is brought current.


Vacation Time
Lighthouse Academy offers two types of vacation credits: after six months enrolled you are eligible for one-week vacation credit per enrolled year where no tuition is required. In addition, you are eligible for up to five days at half the regular tuition rate.


Sick Time
Every child enrolled full time will be given 5 sick days per enrolled year. Every child enrolled part time will be given an equivalent amount of sick days equal to the number of days per week enrolled.

 

Schedule Changes
If you are in need of a schedule change, please see the front office.  Changing your scheduled day due to vacation, illness or holiday will not be permitted. Exceptions must be approved by the facility director.

 

Withdrawals
If you wish to withdraw your child, you must fill out a withdrawal form with two week's notice. It is the parent’s responsibility to do so. You may pick up a form in the office. If you do not fill out a form, you will be charged two weeks tuition.  Exceptions must be approved by the Board of Directors.
